Newtown, Connecticut. Completed in 2017.

A prominent equestrian facility requested that P H Architects design a custom gazebo as a viewing area to watch champion hunters and jumpers. The clients wanted a year-round, open-air environment with partial shade for their family and spectators. They also wanted this functional space to be considered an outdoor retreat for any type of celebration.

The gazebo is covered with a barrel vaulted ceiling, red cedar roof and matching timber frame for ultimate shelter from the sun, wind and rain. A bluestone patio was incorporated not only for aesthetic purposes, but also to withstand the New England season changes. The gazebo is surrounded by beautiful, natural plantings creating an architectural focal point within the landscape.
