Farm House, Newtown CT
This historical 1784 house was built by one of the early settlers of Newtown. The house was constructed with post and beam construction, wide board chestnut flooring and field stone fireplaces. We renovated and added on to this home using new post and beam construction for the major spaces and reclaimed wood for the new flooring and cabinetry. The additions have been designed to work with the scale of the existing home and to respect the quiet elegance of this remarkable home.
