In 2006, PHA was approached by clients to take on an extensive renovation to an existing house, which is located on a wonderful parcel of land next to a lovely pond.
The renovation encompassed keeping the New England Charm of the home while removing the majority of the interior. This resulted in a more open and simplified layout. We replaced much of the electrical and mechanical due to deterioration. We made good use of the enormous amount of existing millwork by simplifying it or reusing it elsewhere in the home.
We had to add to and maximize the number of bedrooms. We also designed a large kid’s room to accommodate their sizeable family and the diverse ages of the guests that would frequent the home.
The clients had a very aggressive, almost near impossible, schedule for the project. We managed their requirements by working closely with the contractor to meet the deadline.
